Though i had put up oranges in my previous post.....Onkar and few other friends wanted to see the oranges before they were plucked......so this post is specially for them. There is nothing like sitting on the terrace in the winters and having oranges freshly plucked from your garden. Well in addition to this picture , i also wanted to show a picture of these wooden spoons that are very widely used here in our homes. These are usually made from orange trees but now with the increase in demand they are using other wood .......but nothing beats the ones made from the wood of the original orange tree. I have seen some varnished wooden spoons in many Crafts Bazar outside Shillong, in fact now a days its available here too but i can't think of using them......imagine all that varnish getting into your food. Ugh!!!You can't compare it with the wooden spoons that is given with the non stick pans. We get them in all shapes and sizes. And this has also been a favorite gift item for all my friends.....always in demand !!!!
