The loofahs we get here are actually dried fibres of a vegetable belonging to the gourd family.....(I don't know if all types of loofahs belong to the gourd family) but here when it is still green it is used as an edible veggie....not my favorite though. The loofahs are used here as a body scrubber and nothing can beat it. You will see one of these hanging in almost all the bathrooms here. In spite of all the fancy varieties available in the market......these dried loofahs always have an edge over all of them and is a must have while taking a shower. It gives you a squeaky clean refreshing feel after every bath.
