We meet so many people in our day to day life.....few leaves an impression on your mind and makes a difference. Uriah is one such person for me.....so I thought My post today would be for her. Uriah works in our hospital as one of the security guards. After a few days of her joining in, I would find her every morning , near the entrance gate. Our friendship started off with an exchange of smiles.....and then one day a good morning greeting, followed by a few exchange of "how are you?....are you on duty now ?....etc.And now when ever she has morning duty , I would find her waiting as I drive in.....she would make a special effort to reserve my usual parking space for me.....And if by any chance I don't park in my usual place , she would come and tell me " Mam! I kept your space....so don't worry." After my duty hours , as I leave the hospital , Uriah would come running and go out of the gate to the main road and stop the moving vehicles, so that I can drive out with ease and believe me that sure is a relief , or else one would think only the passing vehicles are in a rush and you could wait the whole day for the traffic to ease out. I know Uriah is not paid to cater to me....and she does not have to do all that she does for me. So am honestly touched and grateful to her . Its people like her who walks into your life and makes a difference.....small gestures like these can make your day. It has become a habit for both Uriah and I to greet each other before we start our day and when we don't happen to meet , each would be asking the other "what happened?" the next day.
My corner here will have all the stuffs which catches my eye and tickles my thoughts.........
