There was a jute fair recently here in Shillong,participants mainly from West Bengal which is famous for its jute products. We also had some from Assam. I took some time off to visit the fair...because I simply love jute products. Its one of the most versatile plant from which you can make any thing and everything. We have clothes made from jute.....jute jewelery....jute shoes.....bags....mats....furniture....lamp shades....pots....paintings...well you name it...and you can have it.Its cheap....its durable....its ethnic....its artistic.... and above all its Eco friendly.
