Waiting Trucks......

Today as I was going to my Head Quaters, i saw a very long line of trucks waiting for the NO ENTRY signal to go off the road before they can enter town.....well i see them more often then not ......most of the time as i drive past them ( provided am not sitting on the wheel ....Lol ) i love to read the names written on them....."Black Diamonds " ...... "Dark Jewels"......" Ballerina" etc . I also love to see their number plates....most of them come from far flung places. But today as i was passing one such truck i saw its driver cooking by the road side. He looked to me, a man from Punjab, and what struck me was that he had a mini kitchen spread out in front of him.....may be trying to make a quick lunch till he is allowed to resume his journey.......Well i was too slow to take out my cam to capture the sight but i did manage to take a picture of the standing trucks. It set me thinking that among all the professions in this world , i think this is one of the few chosen ones.....chosen specially for some people by God Himself because i feel this is one job that is not cut out for all. One person who travels across the country ...driving all the way....with no security.....no luxuries.....no warm home after a day of hard work till his task is completed.....often harrased by the police .....and yet its because of this small section of people that we get all our daily commodities at home.....Hats off to them!!!

They don't just drive trucks...they drive the nation..how sweet of you to think of the forgotten people. On the humour side, there's a consolation for them. In major cities, vehicles hardly move. For ex, my wife worked in dubai and we stay in sharjah. The travel time is 25 mins in normal days. But hold yr breathe, several occasions it took not less than 2 hours to reach the school.Well, sorry, i am not trying to dilute the reality you have mentioned. My heart goes out to those heroes of course. congrats on your blog..
