Our Milk Woman......

I have often thought of putting up pictures of all those wonderful people who helps us start our day.......i start with this lady.....in the local language we call her "KONG". That is a general term respectfully used here.....She comes every morning to distribute the government milk. On my way back from my walk one morning i saw her in the colony and since i had my cam i took her picture. She is such a sweat heart ...forever smiling......i can't imagine what would be the state of affairs in the house where the children depends on milk , if one day she doesn't turn up.....every morning she would tap the gate and announce her arrival...sometimes i see a toddler with her. i often wonder here she comes and gives us the milk but does her child ever get a chance to take a sip of the milk that she distributes???? doubtful!!!

I admire your keen interest in the people around you. Most people will just not bother about them.

Hi nitu

Came on line after a long time and saw your blog. It made me think as usual. Howmany such souls we encounter each day. Milk man, paperwallah, next door shopkeeper, laundy man and so on. how many times do we even think about them. how many times we even know their names, let alone about their families. Good to remind me that each of them make up our life, in some measure. So they are not big or small. these are relative terms and suffice to say they r humans and need a recognition from another fellow human.

Thanks for reminding such simple, obvious yet long forgotten truth.

Nitu, I really got behind in my blog reading. I'm glad to be catching up on your posts. I clicked on this photo to make it larger. She looks so young! I love the steps, fences, and vines. What a lush looking area!
