Loofahs........
The loofahs we get here are actually dried fibres of a vegetable belonging to the gourd family.....(I don't know if all types of loofahs belong to the gourd family) but here when it is still green it is used as an edible veggie....not my favorite though. The loofahs are used here as a body scrubber and nothing can beat it. You will see one of these hanging in almost all the bathrooms here. In spite of all the fancy varieties available in the market......these dried loofahs always have an edge over all of them and is a must have while taking a shower. It gives you a squeaky clean refreshing feel after every bath. Try it ...to beleive it !!!!!

Are these the same as "Dhoondool" we have in our place? I do not know, but I doubt they are ... hmmm....
I had a loofa a long time ago. I don't know why I haven't gotten another. How often do you replace them or wash them?
I've never tried one, but several of our daughters love them for scrubbing while taking their shower.
Never ever seen them ..... What are these ??? :)
@ sue
you wash them as soon as you finish your bath and if possible dry them too. And you can replace them when they are worn out which is really after quite some time.
@ tan
i dunno what are dhooldool. these are what you call pural i think.
@rahul
these are actually vegetables but when dried can be used as loofahs or scrubber for your body.
I swear by these bathing essentials...
