Centenary Inauguration......

The much awaited day is here.....the first picture here is the entrance of our school as you come up the drive way. And i suppose no guess needed in the second picture....yes that is the Alumni Group , who gathered here from all over the country and also out of the country to put together a song on this very special occasion and friends i just had to share these wordings of the song with you ......its brings out what truly a Loreto Girl feels after so many years........
"A hundred years ago , a little seed began to grow,
Into a place of learning true, that blossoms still for me and you
A hundred milestones won, from tiny steps to great things done
Loreto's come a long way through,
Now join we in an anthem new.....
Loreto, we celebrate
the years that have passed,
we celebrate the present too......
And through the years ahead
to the vision hold fast
your quest for truth and justice renew.
The memories so clear, of friends and teachers we hold dear,
Bring back to us a special feel , of bonds of friendship under seal,
of love, simplicity, times filled with lots of gaiety,
A time of innocence and fun, of games and play to duty done.
In our own separate ways, in life we've found a special place
through hidden values good and strong,
we learn the right and fight the wrong.........
Loreto take a stand,
make all the difference you can
These times call for sincerity
Acknowledgement , humility
For where we've fallen short we will,
in future all our goals fulfill
press on Loreto take a stand ,
Make all the difference you can....... "
By the end of the song......most of us had tears in our eyes and so did our principal of our times who flew in from Kolkatta. It was a great show and am sure glad i lived to see this day.

Loved the school posts... you transported me back to my school days... Thanks a ton!

Btw: realised that now we have one more commonality (apart from the freaky list of similarities we discussed long ago): BOTH of us are SCHOOL SENTIMENTALISTS.! :-)
