I was out for shopping today and these two young monks caught my attention and naturally my camera too. I just found them so cute....and I was also wondering what actually motivated them to join the monastery.Is it only a tradition passed down in the family or is it a self decision made by these young boys.....?But what ever the reason is , I was told they are actually sent to the monastery at a very early age. I suppose if you have to see them drape these orange robes , you have to catch them young !!!

I am against this u know... its my personal view but I dont like these kids becoming saints at that young age...
they hardly know what pleasures are before they are told to quit...
in my religion jains too it happens too much... its something I dont like at all..
definitely a sight which can send the mind racing in diffrent directions..........
lost childhood... the most innocent joys gone forever!

I don't know much about a monks life...but what i do know about them brings a big smile to my face whenever i see them in my neighborhood or at the store...i have this big urge to hug them but i shy away. I love the orange...its a lucky color ;-)
Life of monks is very tough as lot of sacrifice is required. It cannot be compared with our lives. Nice post.
