Pathway under the tree.....

This is the road and footpath on the way to the hospital......and in the middle of it is this huge tree which has been there for as long as i remember......when the foothpath was being constructed i was wondering how would they do is as the tree was right in the middle of the way and i was hoping that they would not cut it. Well they din't ......instead they built it around the tree as seen in the photograph. In fact the wall is also constructed around the branch

leaving a small pathway. This is the most facinating part because i have seen many times people including me when we reach at this point , will always try to walk through that small pathway under the tree. I really don't know why. Not that i have noticed it bring any special luck but people would Q up to pass through it and the best part is when you see someone trying to pass through it with an umbrella. And beleive me it can be done. I have done it several times. lol!

To. Dr. Nitu Panday

You are heartily welcome to my blogspace. If we remain vigilant about the food intake, we can avoid many diseases.

The photo of the tree and your narration is mind-refreshing. I would like to read more from you.

I wish people here respected trees like someone did there. They are doing work on the school I work at to put in air conditioning, make a larger cafeteria, and renovate the auditorium. They also got some money to landscape, and whoever approved the plans, they didn't communicate what they were to the students and staff well.

Last February, while I was home with the flu, I kept getting emails about trees being cut down. There was a small student protest that I watched on the news. I just kept crying all day because they were cutting trees down. They wanted people on the street to be able to see the State Capitol.

Because of a small number of vocal staff and students, they stopped cutting to explain what the plan is. There are more trees scheduled to be cut. Some of them will be replaced with smaller ones, but I am very sad about the number of trees they plan to cut down.

I love your tree by the walkway!
