Scotland of the East.......

Nestled within tall and elegant whispering pines at an altitude of about 5000 ft above sea level is the famous Golf Course of repute with 18 holes. Golf was introduced here by the Europeans stationed at Shillong at the turn of the century. The present golf club was established in 1924 and the club saw many tournaments being played. The panaromic view and the weather here is often compared with Scotland......thus thats how it is often known as the "Scotland of the East".
