Trying My hand In Photography........!!!!!

I know nothing about photography beyond its spelling.....but I have always loved to have the camera in my bag where ever I go......it is one of the many things I carry in my bag. Here I have some randomly clicked pictures which I had taken recently.....any suggestions on them are most welcome . Are people listening??? Lol !!!

Lovely set of photos - the first is a very good study in texture - the second looks good when enlarged - couldn't at first tell it was floating stick - the bottom one could probably do with some judicious cropping.

Wow, look at your new profile pic. very inviting :). I agree with Jon's point too, larger pictures. They seem fine to me.

I like the photographs the way they are.

a picture speaks a story,.. a story has a subject.
Try focusing on your subject and subduing the environment, because it leads to distractions.
Try creating contrast between subject and environment using color, light and shadows, focal length...
this should give a good enough start
:)
