Waterfalls Around Khasi -Jaintia Hills......

As i said earlier, during the heavy monsoons, water falls are a common sight over here....we get to see one almost all along ,which ever way you decide to drive in the outskirts of the city.....When i used to drive down to Dawki, my previous place of posting......you could sight it almost all around the place.....So this time when i was on vacation, a family staying in the next door flat with all enthusiasm decided to take me out for a day......and of all places they chose to show me a waterfall ...suppose to be very beautiful .I agree to the beauty of it but please a
waterfall ( i can only fit in Niagara Falls in my list ...lol! ) is the last agenda on my lists of "Must See" when i am away from Shillong. I didn't have the heart of saying no to them but was really praying hard that there would be a change of programme and thankfully it did....we went to a water park instead and we all had a blast , as Shillong being a cold place we can't think of getting into a pool in the winters. Now back to these Falls.....except the last picture which is one of the famous ones by the name of Elephant Falls...( when we were kids we thought Elephants fell here and many a times i would wonder where all the elephants went ????) , the other falls are the ones you get to see during the heavy showers......!!!!! As you walk pass these, you can feel the sprays of water on you....awesome feeling!!!!
