After The Rains........!!!!

Today we saw sunlight after almost a week's rain.....the day was a beautiful one and i had taken this picture from our balcony today while i was enjoying a cup of tea......looking across and around me.....it was all so green .....in fact different shades of green and this is a patch of paddy field right in the middle of town......people still cultivate here......so you can see the paddy is still green and as the months roll by its beautiful to watch the paddy ripe and finally turn golden. The earth smelt fresh....and the air was clean. finally after so many days the machines got a rest and we could dry our clothes out in the sun .......but this is just the start of the monsoons.......the wet days are not over yet . If the Rain Gods are listening we are not complaining but please give us a break once in a while and let us feel the warmth of the Sun God too !!!

Very nice photo of the landscape. We had a lot of rain last week ourselves. In fact it rained most of yesterday, but we were able to have out cook out before it started.

Hi Nitu,
I am a first time visitor to your blog but have been coming across you on blogs from Priyanka and Kavita.
When I read a caption of your blog, saying rains, in Kavita's room, I couldnt resist to have a dekko.
The photograph, though hazy, is still able to convey the atmosphere that might have been at the time of the click.
Thanks for sharing it in your blog specially because in Delhi, the monsoon are yet to arrive and we are constantly looking out for any raindrops.
That reminds me of the song "Raindrops falling on my head" from the movie Forest Gump.
Anyways, it was nice to visit your blog and keep posting. :-)
