12 Sept. is celebrated as the World Oral Health Day and to mark this occasion, we the members of the Indian Dental Association, Meghalaya Branch decided to hold camps . This year we choose SOS Village and another school for the special children as our venue. I am putting this visit in two parts . The reason because I have a lot of pictures to show.
This was our drive down to the SOS Village......about 45 mins drive from the city. The day was a beautiful one.....blue sky , bright sunshine and five of us, all ready to start the day. I had to make a short talk. I was looking forward to it. I love talking to children......come down to their level.....see the world through their eyes and also get to understand what they understand by teeth . Its amazing some of the queries they come up with .

I've never heard of this before. I wonder if they ever hold anything like that here in the US?
Hope you had a grand time.
interesting, looks like a lovely location. tell us what the children ask or know about teeth.
How wonderful that you reach out to others! I especially like the third photo.

I enjoyed both of the posts on this event. I like what you said about getting at the level of the children.
