Bodh Gaya.......1 !!!!!

I am not overly religious but I do love to visit different places of religious importance, so this time I left for Bodh Gaya as I wanted to see the place where Lord Buddha had lived and attained Enlightenment. I stood outside the Maha Bodh Gaya Temple and could see history unfold in front of my eyes. This was where Buddhism was born. It was a spiritual experience as I walked around the temple and saw where He sat under the pee pal tree and meditated and there after was enlightened and was hence forth known as Buddha , meaning enlightened. I tried to absorb as much as possible in that short time I was there. I saw around me people meditating in different parts of the temple, the sound of chants and prayers gives you a positive vibe. It leaves one spell bound as you look up into His peaceful face. I came out of the temple feeling good that I had made this effort to visit here. It was a trip worth taking.

Hi Nitus, I am a Buddhist, wife Catholic, but leaning more towards Buddhism.
I have read several books on Hinduism, got a book on Sanskrit, tried learning it, writing it...useful for coding certain info I want to keep classified, ha ha.
Read about Asoka too.

Nice pics you have here...I must make a trip there one day, see for myself.
You keep well and have a nice day...Lee.
