Religion In Politics......!!!!!

Actually I had to hold back Bodh Gaya ....2!!!! for a while as I had this burning issue in my mind ever since yesterday when I watched NDTV run a programme on the Liberhan report and as I sat through it, just one thought ran in my mind......a country which is suppose to be so secular in thoughts and deeds, why are we mixing religion with politics .I listened to all our esteem speakers all experts in their own respective fields.......giving very politically correct opinions. But personally I agree with one of the speakers when he said what was the importance of the report today........ which took 17 yrs to complete..........( nor do I understand the other legal actions of our country which usually takes that long to bring justice to any one ) That is a long long time .Its just like digging up old graves and instigating the old sentiments of the people. Instead of moving ahead for the betterment of the country , we hang on to old grudges. We all believe that God is one, only the path we take to worship him may be different ........In a country with over a billion population , problems are many......the corruption, the deteriorating education, the poverty, street children , health issues.........the list could go on.All these that needs attention from our leaders. So instead of debating who should pray in what way and how to call his/her God , it would do so much good , if all our positive energy and power was directed to the well being of our people.
Do we want our children , who are our future to grow up with such thoughts and teachings ???? Its time to wake up and decide their future. Stop the blame game. we can all make a difference in our own way . After all charity begins at home. And yes , as Karl Marx had said " Man makes Religion, Religion does not make man" Today I understand its true meaning. And I also believe , that God's Hands must look the same, no matter in what name or language you call up to Him.

wowww..i am 100% with this view..people forget that religion is only a path..and spiritualism is the ultimate goal where one sees no difference among any living entity..anywy..u cant expect politicians to understand this deep thought..they have their own agenda..good post nitu...

I agree Nitu. Justice delayed in justice denied. A whole new generation has come up in the last 17 years and the relevance of Babri Masjid for today's gen X is close to nil.

On to more positive things happening in life:
