My First Visit Here.........!!!!!

This is a dispensary run by the Indian Red Cross Society , Meghalaya branch. My first visit here was when I was a young girl, still in school. We came here on a trip specially to be shown to us the Maternity Ward......as we were then doing a discussion on the Woman....her role as a daughter , as young lady , as a wife and then later the most important role, that of a mother.........how she goes through her pregnancy and motherhood. Our teachers wanted to show us a woman in labour....and you bet they managed to get permission from the hospital authorities to allow us inside the labour room. That was my first visit and my first time seeing a woman go into labour and give birth to a baby. I came out of the room ........like most others totally awe struck. And our nuns explained this whole journey so beautifully that even today I remember how wonderful that whole trip was. I beleive that was the time when we realised how beautifully God had built up each temple in us.......It had left a deep impact on my young mind..... and I feel proud today to be able to share this on my blog.

so good to see you back nitu. and this post is one of your best among the later one.I specially liked the line " how God built a temple in us".refreshing and it shows nothing escapes your notice.I hope one day we can get down to discussing a lot of things in life.

Here we never had any trips like the one you were lucky enough to take. In schools today there is always controversy around this subject. I think you were given a most wonderful lesson and would love to have had such a lesson. And what wonderful memories and thoughts you brought from this journey. Just wonderful.
